There are only so many things that are really important in life and once you find out what those things are hold on to them. Most people will spend a lifetime trying to find out their calling or purpose for being and for those I pity, because the answer is usually there in front of their face. |

After spending time in the Navy and risking my life as a Gunner's Mate, the only thing I love to do now is spend time with my kids. |

This is my first year of school at Ohio State University and I have had many adversities to overcome. I had to learn how to relate to people as individuals. Listening to opinions instead of forcing mine on others. Taking time to enjoy the things in life that I hold precious and dear. I have changed my prospective and outlook on life from having Brad Hammer’s English classes. Now I life my life by three quotes: "It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog." (Archie Griffith). "Never judge a man by the decisions he makes. Judge him by the decisions of his mistakes" (Emmanuel Gray). "Live life with no regrets because tomorrow isn’t promised and yesterday is just a memory" (Emmanuel Gray). These are life lessons I have come to realize while interacting and relating with others students from all walks of life on books which I now realize can be interpreted in several different ways. I will end by saying all the conversations were worth having! |
